What You Speak Changes Outcomes
The average person speaks about 16,000 words per day
Good morning everybody. Happy Monday.
One thing I’ve been thinking about recently is the power of words.
The average person speaks about 16,000 words per day according to a study published in the journal Science in 2007.
So much of our life is determined by what we speak.
What we speak reveals what we believe.
How someone speaks is a good indicator of where they will end up in life.
Someone who is constantly dreaming of achieving great things can’t help but talk about it.
They wake up excited about what they’re doing.
They’re constantly focused on their vision for the future.
They’ve already determined that no matter how long it takes they will accomplish the vision in their head.
If a setback comes they don’t allow it to stop them.
How does someone like that talk?
Do they complain all the time?
Do they sit around looking at all of the negatives in their life saying woe is me?
Probably not.
Not that there aren’t moments of doubt for that individual.
But they’ve gotten to a place that when those doubts or fears come they don’t allow them to stay for long.
Sometimes it’s easy to get in a place where life just happens to you.
You aren’t really thinking about what you’re saying and where you are going.
You get into a routine and it becomes your normal way of living.
What do you think about right when you wake up?
How do you process things that happen to you every day?
All of us have created mental patterns that determine how we go through life.
It’s good to take a look at your life and evaluate where you are.
What are you thinking about all the time?
Are your words full of faith or unbelief?
The great thing is that if we recognize that our thoughts and words aren’t in alignment with where we want to be, we can make a change.
Get excited about life.
Anything can shift at any moment.
It all starts with what you are speaking.
Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Have a great week.
